TESTIMONIALS

We thought this would be an appropriate time to share our own experience with Casa Mesquite. Over the last year we had to deal with furnishing two homes, a Casa Chica and Encantada that were being completed several months apart. One to be used primarily as a rental, with the other being our own second home. We met Joel Sherman in the summer of 2006, just as he and Luis were starting Casa Mesquite in Loreto. He talked about delivering high quality, beautifully designed furniture at a price point equal to or better than the previous vendor. We were somewhat skeptical of how someone with a long standing and successful real estate career would put the time and effort into something as daunting as this venture in the Baja would require.

We spent months looking at alternative sources of furniture, both in the U.S. and Mexico, but could not find anything that matched the quality, price point, or promised customer service that Joel seemed committed to performing. We chose Casa Mesquite to furnish both houses and all we can say is that if anything Joel, Luis and the gang probably under committed and over delivered. The whole experience from the beginning reflected a customer service model rarely seen anywhere, let alone in this remote part of the Baja. The furniture is gorgeous and is a conversation piece when friends and family visit. The price included all taxes, freight and professional set-up in our homes and we think it was most reasonable. The follow up to a couple of minor problems was immediate and done flawlessly. We would use this company to furnish our home in California if we had to do it over again.

I feel like a "me too" here but we feel we definitely came out ahead by getting most of our furniture from Casa Mesquite. Joel and Luis have answered email, phone calls and dealt with us directly and efficiently, despite a certain amount of indecision on our part. They put together a package that met our expectations with beautiful, handcrafted furniture, with a consistent style that we feel is appropriate for our Village home; some lower priced, some custom. All the furniture was delivered on time, the day we "took possession" of the house, without damage or problems. They returned to help us re-arrange the big pieces.

We, like many, made the trip to Guadalajara and enjoyed ourselves and found many options but were overwhelmed by the details of design, shipping and significantly greater expense. We have shopped in Costa Mesa, San Diego, Cabo and San Jose as well and found options at both ends of the quality spectrum. The quality we were looking for generally was much higher priced than Casa Mesquite. We heartily recommend Casa Mesquite.  ***Tom and Patty, FN 460

"We have a Casa Chica #161 in Loreto Bay Mexico that has been furnished by Luis Cordova. My husband and I flew to Douglas, Arizona to meet Luis in late September of 2006. We visited his furniture shop, Casa Mesquite, and saw samples of his work. We were very impressed and hired Luis to design and manufacture all of the furniture for our unit. Within three days of our visit we had an estimate from Luis including details of design, cost, shipping and delivery date. We met Luis in Loreto the first week of December and our furniture was installed by Luis and his workers.  The furniture is everything we wanted and more. We cannot say enough good things about his craftsmanship, but equally important is his honesty and integrity. I had shopped several options in the states and in the Baja for furniture. Luis not only had quality furniture, but his dual citizenship and his understanding of business on both sides of the border were invaluable to our piece of mind. We recommend Casa Mesquite highly and will use them for any future purchases."

"After much research we feel so lucky that we contacted Joel Sherman about his furniture buying experience with Luis Cordova at Casa Mesquite. Joel answered our questions and carefully guided us through the process.  His knowledge and information was invaluable. Our first conversation with Luis was so invigorating and comforting that we immediately made plans to visit his manufacturing plant. We were thrilled with the way Luis helped us design our furniture to fit our home and lifestyle. We wanted quality with authentic Mexican flair. Luis' undivided attention to detail, quality and creative design for our home was outstanding. His honesty, hardwork, integrity and dual citizenship made the experience fun and enjoyable. We met Luis in Loreto for the delivery of our furniture and were so pleased that we highly recommend him to all our Loreto Bay friends. Thank you Luis and Joel for making our "little ray of sunshine" in Loreto Bay perfect."

Our Casa Chica FN239 closed on January 14, 2008. Our furniture vendor was Casa Mesquite and we cannot say enough about the great job Joel Sherman, Luis Cordova and Patricia Molina did for us. Joel worked directly with us in helping select the furniture and making sure it fit in the appropriate areas in our home. Everyone at Casa Mesquite was very professional, courteous, efficient, detailed and all of our furniture was delivered on time and with no damages. Casa Mesquite's furniture is of the highest quality and we would highly recommend Casa Mesquite to any current or future homeowner in Loreto Bay.
